Kenyan faithful have been urged to observe the measures given by the Government of Kenyan towards curbing the spread of the Covid-19 Virus. – By Prudence Wanza
Speaking in Meru, Rt Reverend Bishop Selasius Mugambi of Catholic Diocese of Meru has requested Kenyans to take with heavyweight the Corona Pandemic terming it as a real minister sweeping across the World.
Bishop Mugambi asked faithfuls across the county not cease praying together from different locations in order to seek God’s guidance and intervention on the fight against the Virus.
He further warned of doubtful Thomases who would fail believe the existence of the Virus.
Bishop Mugambi was speaking while leading a Holy Mass at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Meru. The event was aired live on a national TV Channel.
This call comes in the wake of increased Covid_19 infections across the country with the Health CS Matahi Kagwe warning of severe effects should Kenyans fail to observe the measures put on the Government to flatten the curve of the infections.
Kenya had to date recorded a total of 262 infections with 11 people succumbing to the deadly virus. 60 people have since recovered from the disease.
