Motorists plying the Nairobi- Mombasa highway were left stunned as a vehicle involved in a head-on collision spills rolls of marijuana.
The incident occurred at Migingo area near Mtito Andei and from the account of the eyewitnesses, it is alleged that the Toyota Noah vehicle was at a high speed when it collided with the truck.
No casualties were reported in the fatal crash.
However, one motorist who arrived at the scene a few minutes after the incident, witnessed a section of residents and vehicle operators at the scene, running away with a chunk of the illegal substance.
