The Makadara law Court on Tuesday, May 24, sentenced Salimy Bashir, 64, to life imprisonment after being found guilty of defilement and incest.
According to the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP), the two prosecutors, Mwanaidi Rama and Christine Achieng, proved the case.
The court heard that Bashir had been sexually abusing his 11-year-old daughter for five years and defiling his step daughter for one year.
“He did so on several occasions at night when wife and girls were asleep,” stated the ODPP.
The girls recently gathered courage and informed their mother who then reported the matter to Kamukunji Police Station.
