A man from Njiru village in Riruta, Dagoretti was today charged with assault in a Kibera court.
Identified as George Njuguna, was said to have attacked one Ann Njambi in her home in riruta.
The accuser, who turned out to be her mother-in-law, in a statement told the police that the accused attacked her under unclear circumstances.
She cited that the accused grabbed her by the neck and tried to struggle her and in the process, she lost a Nokia phone worth 4,999.
Mr. Njuguna pleaded not guilty and was released on 50,000 cash bail with an alternative fine of 15,000.
The case will be heard on March 27th, 2020.
