Manchester United are close to completing the transfer of Real Madrid’s Raphael Varane.
United have signed personal terms with Varane, 28, and are close to reaching a deal with Real Madrid on the transfer.
Despite training with Madrid again on Monday, Varane has already made plans to travel to Manchester in expectation of a move to United.
In the most recent round of talks, United had ‘good discussions,’ and the deal is now thought to be almost complete.
Varane may have to go through quarantine before he can begin training with United.
United have been working on a £50 million deal for Varane for almost a month, after expressing strong interest in the France international in the middle of last season.
Madrid is willing to trade Varane to United, according to the MEN, in order to get a premium for the France international, who is out of contract next year.
