Mandera County Nominated MP Suleka Harun has launched a free medical camp for Mandera residents as she marks one year in office.

According to the MP, treatments will cover chronic diseases, surgeries as well as neglected tropical diseases.

Suleka noted that the medical camp is one of the ways she is giving back to the community that raised her to be who she is today.

“I’m happy to be here today for the free medical camp my office is organizing in partnership with the Kenya Association of Muslim Medical Professionals. I’m grateful to Allah first and my people for the opportunity to serve.

“I’m full of gratitude, celebrating one year in office as a nominated MP. Alhamdulillah for the experiences that the Lord has granted I’m using the opportunity to help my people in the best way I can,” Suleka said.

The medical camp that began on Friday is being held at the Mandera County Referral Hospital. It is set to end on Sunday.

The three-day medical camp that covers a series of tests and disease treatments was launched in partnership with the Kenya Association of Muslim Medical Professionals (KAMMP).

Hundreds of Mandera residents turned up for the medical camp that saw them get tested and treated for Nephrology, Urology, Endocrinology, and Dermatology.
