Matopeni MCA Abdi Guyo officially stripped off Majority Leader seat

Ruling Jubilee Party has officially stripped Matopeni MCA Abdi Guyo from the position of majority leader in the County Assembly of Nairobi.

In a statement issued to the media, The party chairman Raphael Tuju announced that Charles Thuo will replace Guyo, with Millicent Mugadi named Thuo’s deputy.

Tuju also clarified that Jubilee appointed Juliet June Ndegwa as the majority whip and Hassan Abdikadir Mohamed as the deputy majority whip.

The controversial appointments that have seen the Nairobi County Assembly turn to a battlefield for the warring factions, is yet another thorn in the flesh against Guyo’s side, who had been thoroughly fighting to have Nairobi County Speaker Beatrice Elachi kicked out of the assembly.
