Asad Khan’s Neighbour: Maxine Is Innocent

A neighbour of the late Asad Khan has defended rally driver Maxine Wahome, who was charged with the deceased’s murder.

According to the neighbour’s statement dated December 12, 2022, which was filed in court at the most recent session, the deceased was a violent man in his love relationship.

The eyewitness, identified as SK in the court document, alleged that throughout the 10 years, he lived close Asad, he watched the rally driver involved in countless marital squabbles with his girlfriends.

“I would like to state that one Asad Kalulu has been a resident for more than 10 years at ‘our’ apartment. I have known him for a while because he has been a violent person to all his girlfriends, meaning they are always fighting,” reads the statement dated Thursday, March 16.

When the event occurred in December 2022, the neighbor noticed that he was not present, but was summoned to intervene by the security guard.

He allegedly hurried to the crime scene and discovered Asad lying in a pool of blood on the floor. According to the statement, SK was not aware where Asad was bleeding from and chose to call the police.

‘I reported the incident and returned with authorities, but Asad was not there since he had been taken to the hospital,’ the neighbor informed Kilimani Police.

Meanwhile, Wahome was named as the primary suspect in the murder of Asad, who died from knife wounds while in the hospital.

But, in her affidavit filed on March 15, the rally driver pled not guilty, claiming that Asad, who was abusive, died of self-inflicted injuries while arguing on the balcony.

Wahome said that Asad had forced her to leave the house and was becoming violent, causing her to take safety on the balcony prior to the event.

“He assaulted me, and I sought shelter on the apartment balcony, where the dead attempted to shatter the door with his foot. He injured himself “Wahome narrated.
