Medics paralyse transport in Nakuru town as they join nationwide strike

 

Doctors from Nakuru turned up in large numbers to demonstrate on the ongoing doctors strike that entered its 13th day.

Transport was temporarily paralysed due the strike.

Doctors from Meru county are also expected take part in the strike, which has cripple the delivery of health services in public hospitals, leaving thousands of Kenyans to their own devices.

Medics are accusing the government of failing to implement a raft of promises from a collective bargaining agreement signed in 2017 after a 100-day strike that saw people dying from lack of care.

Tomorrow, (Wednesday) doctors from Kisumu, Migori and Eldoret will be expected to take part in the Nation Wide strike which shall be entering its 14th day.

On Thursday, those in Nairobi and Mombasa will undertake the demos.
