Five children aged six and nine years were injured after being hit by a car in the Komokala area of Kuria West on the Migori-Isebania highway.
According to Kuria West sub-county police commander Mr. Cleti Kimaiyo, two of the children suffered serious head injuries, while the other three sustained minor injuries.
“The five children were walking on the side of the road when the vehicle veered off the road after the driver lost control before hitting them,” noted Mr. Kimaiyo.
However, the driver of the vehicle escaped unhurt.
The vehicle was towed to Kuria police station as police officers conduct investigations into the incident.
