A quiet night in Kadar-Posi village, Uriri, turned into a horror scene on Saturday when Emilly Otieno allegedly unleashed a savage attack on her husband, Evance Odhiambo.
At around 9 p.m., the middle-aged woman doused him with hot water before grabbing a panga and hacking him repeatedly on the head and body, leaving him a bloodied, burned wreck.
North Kanyamkago chief Silvance Owiti said neighbors, jolted by Odhiambo’s screams, stormed the couple’s home and rushed him to Migori Level Four Hospital, where he now battles for survival.
Emilly, meanwhile, sits in a police cell, her rage-fueled rampage under scrutiny. “She heard he was eyeing a second wife,” Owiti revealed, hinting at a jealousy that boiled over into near-murder.
