A 75 year-old granny was arraigned in court today and charged alongside an advocate of the high court with fraud involving Sh 31.4m.

The prosecution submitted that Florence Seyanoi Kibera and John Wamiti Njagi on diverse dates between January and February 2012 offered to subdivide and sell by registration of an agreement of sale at the lands ministry a 10 acres portion of land at Karen to Deborah Achien’g.

Further, Florence Seyanoi is charged with obtaining Ksh 6.9m from George Sphikas by falsely pretending that she would help him register at the land’s ministry a lease agreement of land measuring 10 acres at Karen.

The case is partly heard and it had come up for amendment of the charge sheet to strike out Hon. Karume was the third accused person but the prosecution had no sufficient evidence to pin him to the crime.

The case is slated for hearing on May 24, 2022.
