Ministry of ICT, Stakeholder Attend workshop To Validate 5 Year Strategic Plan

    The Ministry of Information, Communications and Digital Economy is conducting a workshop aimed at validating it’s 2023-2027 Strategic Plan.

    The one-day workshop, which is being held at Ole Sereni hotel in Nairobi, seeks to get input and feedback from members of the public and key stakeholders ahead of the Strategic Plan’s launch scheduled for next week.

    The workshop was officially opened by State Department for Broadcasting and Telecommunications Director of Administration Mr. Edward Waweru Kimani on behalf of the Cabinet Secretary, Mr.Eliud Owalo.

    The 2023-2027 Digital Economy Blueprint has five pillars including Digital Government, Digital Business, Infrastructure, Innovation-Driven Entrepreneurship, and Digital skills and Values compels the government to leverage on technology to ensure improved service delivery across all sectors of the economy.

    The envisioned plan would be aligned to the government agenda, Kenya Vision 2030, Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and other National Government priorities.

    The plan also aims at ensuring that public sector institutions adopt a value chain development framework by properly defining their strategic directions and making appropriate decisions on resource allocation towards implementation of priority policies and programmes.

    In attendance were representative from various government Ministries Department and Agencies (MDAs), ICT sector, the Civil society, academia and private sector players.
