MPs Recalled To Debate Controversial Bill

National Assembly Speaker, Justin Muturi, made the communication through a gazette notice dated 23rd. December.

“Pursuant to the provisions of Standing Order 29(1) relating to a special sitting of the House, I have received and acceded to a request from the Leader of Majority Party to hold special sittings of the National Assembly on December 29.”

In the previous sitting, members of parliament were forced to adjourn after several amendments were lodged against it.

The vote sharply divided the house with Ruto allied MPs saying the bill was sponsored to pave way for Azimio La Umoja Coalition.
