Mr Beast 52 Borehole Projects Puts Kenyan Politicians To Shame

MrBeast, an American YouTuber, revealed that he drilled 52 boreholes in Kenya to help local populations gain access to clean water, which elicited varied comments from netizens.

MrBeast posted a 10-minute video on his YouTube page showing him actively partaking in borehole drilling in various locations of Kenya, including Meru County.

In the video, he also stated that he assisted in the construction and furnishing of schools with computers and furniture, and swore to build a wooden bridge he came across.

Activist Boniface Mwangi tweeted; “When you see what Mr Beast has done, and here was Ruto commissioning one borehole. First Lady Rachel Ruto has a budget of KSh 593.9 million, and Dorcas Rigathi KSh 717.6 million. That’s 1.3 billion for spouses of Ruto and Rigathi to waste on travel, vehicles and crusades. Shame.”

Another X user said; “52 wells, A bridge, projectors, computers, Desks that’s what MR Beast Singlehandedly did for Kenya, am sure he did more kushinda Kenye imefanywa na governors wote hii mwaka.”

Sylvia said the project put the government to shame on what they ought to provide as a basic need.

“Great initiative from Mr Beast. Although this is humiliating in a governance perspective. Why don’t school children and hospitals have access to boreholes. These are the most basic forms of water access. Yaani borehole tunachimbiwa na YouTubers.”

@Ed_kemboi said the schools manning the boreholes will be subjected to deep taxes: “Those schools plus Mr Beast will be surcharged levies by WARDA. Ni kama hamjui hii serikali. How dare he construct 100 boreholes bila za macho?”
