Musalia Mudavadi, the head of the Amani National Congress (ANC) has launched a stinging attack on the Secretary-General of the Central Organisation of Trade Unions (COTU), Francis Atwoli.
This comes after Atwoli claimed that Deputy President William Ruto’s United Democratic Alliance (UDA) had abandoned Mudavadi.
ANC said in a statement that Atwoli and his supporters needed to wake up to the truth that the Luhya community was no longer in his grasp.
“The inconsequential Atwoli and a bevy of his inane cheerleaders must wake up to the reality of our times that the Luhya nation will never be hoodwinked again to “steal political beeps” at the lake! Never!” Read the statement in part.
Musalia Mudavadi, the head of the Amani National Congress (ANC), addressing at a previous occasion.
The ANC requested that the COTU Boss refrain from criticizing Mudavadi, stating that the jibes he hurled at Mudavadi would not jeopardize Mudavadi’s presidential bid.
“No amount of incessant insults and pedestrian-sycophantic public display by the Atwoli and ilk mercenaries for hire will deter Musalia Mudavadi’s resolve to liberate the Mulembe nation from the political entanglement of a state project,” ANC wrote.
Mudavadi’s tirade also included former Rift Valley Commissioner George Natembeya.
The Trans-Nzoia gubernatorial hopeful was warned not to get ahead of himself, and that the former Vice President’s earthquake would end his political career in its infancy.
