According to Kuresoi North sub-county Police Commander James Andeva, Mau summit police station OCS shot himself and killed a woman suspected of being his girlfriend.
According to the 7.30 a.m. incident, the officer quickly left his office and went to the Karonga centre along Nakuru-Eldoret, where the woman is said to be an owner of wine and spirits.
Speaking outside Molo Hospital after the officer was referred to Provincial General Hospital Nakuru, Police Chief Andeva says the woman died as both were rushed to the hospital and that an investigation has been launched.
Andeva claims the two were friends and urged officers not to take laws into their own hands but to resolve them amicably.
The deceased’s body was been taken to the Molo morgue.
