Nairobi Regional Commander James Kianda accompanied by NMS Director Compliance and Delivery Services Rachael Maina flagged off Garbage Collection Trucks in Eastleigh, Kamukunji Constituency.

During the exercise championed by NMS’s Compliance and Environment directorates, 8 Trucks carted away 15 tonnes each of the waste left on road reserves, and front yards of residential and commercial premises.

The authorities urged locals to excercise proper disposal of waste so as to maintain a clean environment on their businesses as well as their estates.

NMS has also announced a monthly clean up exercise on the first Saturday of every month. This however, will be announced at a later date.
