ODPP Petitions For Access To Pastor Mackenzie Bank Accounts

The office of the directorate of public prosecutions (ODPP) has moved Malindi Chief Magistrate seeking orders to search controversial pastor Paul Mackenzie premises including bank accounts and title deeds with intention of seizing them to the state.

The ODPP submits that the DCI would like to conduct search about where the pastor lives and carries on his calling or business.

In a Miscellaneous application dated April 26, 2023, the DCI intents to investigate his premises in Furuzi-Malindi Sub County and shakahola.

The purpose for the search is to retrieve bank details or documents, title deed for the 800-acre land where the genocide took place, sale agreement of the land, motor vehicle details and any other item linked to the terrorism act, radicalization, murder and any other charges the DPP would prefer against the ‘pastor’.

The DPP intents to bring the documents before court for appropriate orders pending completion of the investigations.
