A bus carrying mourners was on Monday involved in an accident along Waiyaki Way near Safaricom.
A pedestrian was killed and two others were seriously injured.
The 52 people on board the Uganda-bound PCEA Mathare church were seriously injured when the bus overturned.
The mourners were coming from Uganda heading to Mathare when the incident happened.
Confirming the incident, Nairobi County Police Commander Adamson Bungei said that passengers have been evacuated and transported to various hospitals for treatment.
The deceased’s body has been moved to the City Mortuary while the authorities conduct an investigation into the accident.
