Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen has become the latest victim in Jubilee’s housekeeping after Jubilee Parliamentary Group meeting voted to oust him from his Senate Majority leadership – By Prudence Wanza.
Major changes have been made during the Parliamentary group meeting held on Monday Morning.
The Senate leadership has been completely changed with DP Ruto’s Allies being stripped off their duties.
Senator Samuel Poghisio of West Pokot is now the new Senate leader of majority, replacing Kipchumba Murkomen of Elgeyo Marakwet County. He will be deputised by Fatma Dulo.
Susan Kihika, a staunch Ruto ally will no longer be the Senate Chief Whip and has been replaced by Irungu Kang’ata of Murang’a County.

Kipchumba Murkomen and Susan Kihika have been critics of President Uhuru Kenyatta who is the Jubilee Party Leader.
President Uhuru Kenyatta congratulated the new Jubilee Coalition Senate leaders and assured them of his support.
The President who is also the Party Leader of the Jubilee Coalition said he looks forward to working closely with the new Senate Leadership in delivering services to Kenyans.
Pundits have already predicted a heavy storm against the decision, amid the coronavirus and flood situations, that have since terminated public gatherings.
