Principal Secretary Stephen Isaboke, EBS, today participated in a panel discussion on “AI for Good: Leveraging Technology for Social Impact” at the TikTok Safer Internet Summit 2026 in Nairobi.
During the discussion, the Principal Secretary highlighted the Government’s commitment to the Digital Superhighway and Creative Economy pillar, which aims to create an enabling environment for digital platforms to operate responsibly while supporting young Kenyans who are building sustainable livelihoods through content creation and the digital economy.

He also noted that Kenya’s National AI Strategy (2025–2030) provides a framework to guide responsible adoption of artificial intelligence and ensure that young people are able to harness the opportunities created by emerging technologies.
The Principal Secretary further emphasised the responsibility of digital platforms to deploy their AI systems effectively in combating fake news, misinformation and disinformation in order to safeguard the integrity of online spaces.
PS Isaboke was accompanied by Secretary for Information and Broadcasting, Mr Temesi Mukani and CEO of Media Council of Kenya Mr David Omwoyo.
