Today, PS National Treasury and Economic Planning Chris Kiptoo, PS Public Health and Professional Standards Muthoni Muriuki, and PS Medical Services Harry Kimtai met jointly to discuss the performance of the Global Fund grant for the period of July 2021 to June 2024.
This joint meeting’s topics included enhancing counterpart finance, pending bills, and the transition strategy, as well as improving overall grant absorption at Ministry of Health programmes. It also addressed the Ministry of Health’s ability to hire contract employees from the Global Fund.
Additionally present were a group from the Global Fund Country Representative, Mr. Feisal Mohammed, National Treasury Head of the Global Fund Programme, and senior officials from the MOH.
