A funeral service for Queen Elizabeth II was performed at Westminster Abbey, where she was married and crowned Queen.
The Archbishop of Canterbury noted during his sermon that the late Queen impacted “a multiplicity of lives” over her 70-year reign.
Her coffin was transported to the chapel on a gun carriage by Royal Navy sailors, covered with flags and capped with the Imperial State Crown.
The streets around Buckingham Palace are eerily quiet as people assemble to see a procession.
It will transport the Queen’s coffin across London and to Windsor Castle for a second service.
