Azimo leader Raila Odinga has called out Deputy President Raila Odinga for politicizing the death of freedom fighter and Field Marshal Dedan Kimathi’s widow.
Raila noted after paying tribute to the widow, Mukami Kimathi, that her death was a tragedy to the entire nation.
He stated that it was the government’s job to care for heroes.
“I do not want anybody including the deputy president to try to politicize this issue or score political points over a very very sad affaire for the nation,” He stated.
In addition, he requested that the government hold a formal funeral service in Uhuru Gardens in honor of Dedan Kimathi and other liberation warriors.
Mukami died on Thursday, May 4, 20203, while receiving treatment at a Nairobi hospital.
