Raila Goes After Kwale Vote, Amid UDA Charm

Raila Odinga, the presidential candidate of the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Alliance coalition, will campaign in Kwale County on Friday.

This is part of his increased attempts to secure votes in the Coast region ahead of the August 9 General Election.

During his Kwale tour, the former Prime Minister is set to meet with county leaders aligned to Azimio-OKA in Ukunda.

Raila will then travel to Kinango for a second meeting with Duruma elders.
He will conclude his Kwale tour with rallies at Mwavumbo and Ukunda.

This will be the third day of the ODM leader’s four-day trip of the Coast.

He is scheduled to wrap up the journey on Saturday with meetings and rallies in Mombasa County.

Raila will then return to Nairobi, where he will disclose his running companion for the upcoming election.

He is likely to nominate the person between Sunday and Monday, which is the date established by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission for submitting running mate names.
