Recovery operations enters Day 4, as Kenya Ferry, Kenya Navy on the spot over lack of preparedness

Attempts to recover a vehicle that submerged on Sunday, have entered its fourth day since the accident happened.The multi-agency efforts that have put Kenya’s disaster preparedness on the spot once again, has seen questions flying towards the Newly established Coast Guard, Kenya Navy and the Kenya Ferry Services concerning the safety of Kenyans.It has also been revealed that the Kenya Navy could only dive to 30M below sea level. In an interview with reporters, the relatives of the deceased lamented that they were told to part with 100,000 inorder to access professional divers to recover the vehicle.Even worse, it has been alleged that The Kenya Ferry Services has been operating its ferries with lack of personnel to deal with disasters.
