Robert Alai, a blogger, has denied injuring musician Ringtone, also known as Alex Apoko.
He was released on Sh300, 000 cash bail with Sh1 Million alternative bond.
Alai was before Kibera Senior Principal Magistrate Phillip Mutua. He has been cautioned on commenting on social media, either directly or indirectly.
Apoko’s lawyer, Evans Ondieki, filed a complainant urging lawyer Abraham Mutai had spoken on the issue this morning.
The defendant is expected back in court on August 23 for a pre-trial hearing.
Alai had requested the release of his vehicle, a Subaru Outback, but was objected by Ondiek.
Through his lawyer, Alai protested that the vehicle was not an exhibit in the case, but Ondieki stated that if the victim testifies, the same will be known because his vehicle, a Range Rover, is also seized at the same police station, Kilimani.
Mutua told Alai that the details of the cars involved are better known to the police officer investigating the issue and that he should file his formal motion with the trial court.
The court will sermon the police officers in order to clarify the annexes between the cars and the case.
