Retired Court of appeal Judge Daniel Aganyanya is dead.
Justice Aganyanya died at the Agha Khan Hospital in Kisumu after suffering a heart attack.
The 82 year old is said to have developed breathing complications while at his Cheptulu home in Hamisi, Vihiga County.
Chief Justice David Maranga send his condolences to the widow of the late Judge, Lady Justice Roselyn Nambuye.
“I have learnt with great shock about the sad demise of your husband and our former colleague, retired Judge Daniel Aganyanya.” The statement the Chief Justice read.
Maraga described Justice Aganyanya as one who served Kenyans with immense energy, dedication and integrity during the 38 years he served in the judiciary.
Justice Aganyanya will be remembered for his stringent work ethic and for his commitment to the law.
