Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi has come out strongly in support of President William Ruto, describing him as a leader guided not by public praise but by a long-term vision to transform Kenya.

Speaking during a press briefing, Mudavadi emphasized that President Ruto’s bold and often unpopular decisions reflect a deliberate effort to lay the foundation for a more prosperous and resilient Kenya.

“I know President William Ruto in ways most of you never will. We’ve sat face-to-face, time and again, to chart this country’s future,” Mudavadi said, adding that the Head of State is focused on legacy, not fleeting popularity.

Mudavadi, who also serves as the Cabinet Secretary for Foreign and Diaspora Affairs, noted that President Ruto’s governance style demands patience, clarity, and resolve. He stated that many of the current policies being implemented may be uncomfortable in the short term but are essential for long-term national growth.

“President Ruto doesn’t flinch from tough decisions because he’s driven by a bold, unwavering vision for Kenya’s greatness,” Mudavadi explained. “He’s not chasing headlines; he’s chasing legacy. Kenya will thank him when the dust settles.”

He urged Kenyans to give the President time to deliver on his development agenda and to appreciate the magnitude of transformation required to steer the nation toward sustainable prosperity.

Highlighting his extensive political experience, Mudavadi remarked that simplistic and convenient leadership has never transformed nations. “It is easier to make the easy decisions, but harder to make decisions that have an impact,” he said.

Mudavadi concluded by calling on citizens to rally behind the President’s efforts, noting that the fruits of the current reforms may take time but are key to securing Kenya’s future.
