Shabana, MCF Match Pushed To Wednesday Due To Heavy Rains

The Match between Shabana FC and Mully Children’s Family (MCF) that was to be played on Tuesday was postponed to Wednesday morning following heavy rains witnessed in the Kisii region.

The match failed to kick off at 3 p.m as scheduled at Gusii Stadium in Kisii town due to the bad weather and was pushed to 11 a.m today at the same venue.

According to the FKF Kisii Branch Secretary General, Evans Mageka, the rains, which started at around 1.30 pm, had not stopped by 4 pm, leading to the rescheduling of the match.

“As the officials of both clubs, we have unanimously agreed to postpone the game to Wednesday at 11 a.m,” said Mageka.

He noted that FIFA rules allow the match officials to reschedule the game in case of natural calamities, such as unfavourable weather conditions.

Shabana is leading the National Super League (NSL) with 67 points and has three remaining matches to play against MCF, Murang’a Seal, and Kisumu All Stars.
