An Indian National has been charged with obtaining registration by false pretense contrary to the Law.
Shailesh Babubhai Mistry was arraigned in court where he faced multiple counts of criminal offenses.
According to the prosecution, Shailesh Babubhai Mistry, being the director of Hells Limited, with intent to defraud Smeth Walley Limited of its land parcel situated at Bogani area, Karen Nairobi measuring 4.047 ha, valued at Ksh 600million by falsely pretending that he was the genuine owner of the said land parcel.
He was also charged with forging a title deed for the said land with intent to defraud Smeth Walley Limited of its land parcel situated in Bogani area.
Further, he was accused of uttering a false document. According to the charges, on July 14, 2022 the accused person at DCI headquarters, knowingly uttered a certificate of title deed purporting it to be genuine signed and issued by mohammed Billow Ibrahim, a land registrar at Nairobi Registry.
Appearing before Magistrate Robinson Ondieki, he denied the particulars of the charges.
He was released on a bond of Ksh 1 million with an alternative cash bail of Ksh 500,000.
