Six people have died in a head-on collision between two 14-seater public cars at Roka Kararacha on the Malindi–Mombasa Highway.
The incident happened on Saturday evening around 7 p.m.
Kilifi County Commissioner Kutswa Olaka told the journalists at the accident scene that they have yet to ascertain the precise number of fatalities as well as the reason for the tragedy.
Olaka encouraged drivers to be cautious while driving, especially during the holiday season and urged passengers to express their concerns if they saw cars driving recklessly on the highways.
