Somali National who was arrested at Jomo Kenyatta international airport pleads guilty for being unlawfully found in Kenya.
Abdikadir Ahmed Noor was arrested on April 16, 2022 using Australian passport issued to Abdiaziz Adan Omar purporting to be his.
According to the police, Noor was departing Kenya for Australia aboard Kenya airways flight.
Further, the arresting officers submitted that Noor presended the fake passport to authorities in order to be cleared to depart Kenya.
The officers noticed that there were disparities in facial features of the photograph in bio data page and the passenger presenting it.However, he could not explain how he obtain the Australian passport.
Appearing before Milimani law courts Chief magistrate Micheni Wendy, the accused pleaded guilty to the offense.
The court noted that he has been in police custody for 6 days which has served as a sufficient punishment to the accused.
Nevertheless, the court fined him Ksh 50,000 in default to serve 6 months in prison.
