Suspect Found Guilty Of Killing College Student Who Rejected His Advances

Eldoret High Court has convicted Mustafa Idd the main suspect in the gruesome murder of Vera Beauty College student Emma Wanyota.

The judgement comes Four years after Vera Beauty College student Emma Wanyota was killed by someone believed to be her lover.

In a ruling on Thursday, Judge Reuben Nyakundi said Mustafa was responsible for the murder of the 21-year-old student.

According to the DCI, Emma’s body was found at her home, badly mutilated and with missing parts. It is alleged that she was raped before her legs were chopped off on September 30, 2019.

During the murder trial, Sheila Wanyotta sister to the deceased said Mustafa was well-known to them and was Emmah’s ex-boyfriend.

The judge in his wisdom said that the burden of proving the accused person was responsible for the murder had been discharged beyond reasonable doubt.

The convict will be sentenced on November 22, 2023.
