The suspect behind the gouging out of baby Junior Sagini’s eyes in Kisii County has today been finally arrested by detectives.
Maina Ochoki, baby Junior Sagini’s cousin, is believed to be the main suspect in the case of Baby Sagini.
Police investigators say Maina and his mother Pacifica gouged out Baby Sagini’s eyes to be used as a ritual for the reasons they themselves know.
And even as more suspects continue to be hunted down, those arrested were dragged to court on Monday December 19 to answer to relevant charges.
Police said the suspect will face attempted murder while the boy’s mother, 24-year-old Maureen Nyaboke, faces child neglect.
Nyaboke is said to have separated from her husband over abuse.
