The prime suspect in the murder of Nairobi Hospital Acting Finance Director Eric Maigo will now face murder charges.
This is after the prosecution informed the court that the investigations against the suspect were completed and asked the court to close the chapter miscellaneous file so that the lady could be charged with murder.
The suspect, Anne Adhiambo, was arraigned last Wednesday, with the prosecution requesting that the suspects be held until the investigation is completed.
At the time, the court heard that CCTV footage and blood stains from the murder scene, both of which are crucial in the case, had yet to be analysed.
On the morning of October 15th, Adhiambo was captured on CCTV fleeing the scene of Maigo’s murder in Nairobi’s Jamhuri area.
She was apprehended at Olympic in Kibra after detectives’ efforts were aided by members of the public who provided information on her whereabouts.
Adhiambo is accused of carrying out the heinous murder of Maigo, whose lifeless body was discovered in his house with 25 stab wounds.
