Public transport company, Transline Classic, has promised to take disciplinary action against one of their employees who went viral mocking Raila Odinga after the Supreme Court ruling.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, September 7, 2022, the company distanced itself from the viral video, saying the person in question acted in his own capacity.
The TikTok video had gone viral on social media, angering a section of Kenyans.
“Our attention has been drawn by a video clip going around the social media done by the casual worker based at our Afya Centre offices.
“As a company, we wish to dissociate ourselves from that clip and state that it was done by the individual’s will and does not in any way represent the views of the company,” the statement read in part.
The company went on to apologize to Kenyans over the clip, making it clear that they are in business and not politics.
“We apologize to everybody, especially to our valued customers for the offending clip. As a company we are in business and not in politics.
“We will continue to give the best of the services to all our customers,” read part of the statement.
