Telegram has unveiled a new update that allows users to choose any sound as their notification tone.
According to the company, users will be able to assign a variety of sound options to a specific individual chat or group, such as a bell or a cat.
In addition to sound notifications, Telegram has updated its custom mute durations, expanding the range from 1, 8, and 48 hours to 30 minutes, 2 months, and so on. The auto-delete timer, which automatically deletes messages after a set period of time, has also been expanded.
Telegram has also improved the OS experience by including improved in-app translation, which now supports the same number of languages as the Android version.
On Android, you can now use pinching gestures or the “X” icon to close the screen to adjust the size of the player window in picture-in-picture mode.
