UDA Steals Raila Treasurer In New Changes

The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) has now named former People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Party Leader Omingo Magara as its new National Treasurer.

Through a communique by party Secretary General Veronica Maina, UDA booted Eddah Ruto, replacing her with the Magara, who also served in the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) in the same role.

Kanake Joshua (programs), a former Teso South MP, Mary Emase (policy and strategy), and David Rotich (operations) will be Magara’s deputies.

The three deputies of UDA Party Leader Johnstone Muthama were retained, while the Secretary-General was given a third deputy from the previous two.

The new leaders will also serve on the National Executive Council of the party.

Members of the party who are unhappy with the modifications have until December 10 to file their concerns.

The UDA Secretary-General stated that several elected officials who have yet to join the party led by Deputy President William Ruto were dissatisfied with some of their opponents working as top officials.

A group of Ruto-aligned elected officials demanded that they be included in the party’s elections.
