Uhuru closes schools as pandemic crisis bites

President Uhuru Kenyatta announces 2 more cases of Coronavirus as a result of coming into contact with 1st patient.

The patients are being held at the Kenyatta National Hospital isolation facility. All patients in Stable condition.

The government also suspended travel for anyone coming from any country reported with Coronavirus cases.

All Kenyan citizens with a valid residency permit will be allowed in on condition they self-quarantine for 14 days or in a govt facility

Suspended learning in all schools with immediate effect.

Primary and secondary day schools to suspend operations from tomorrow. Those in boarding school students to be home by 18th March while the university must be home by Friday.

Government office business and companies are encouraged to allow employees to work from home except employees working in essential services.

The president also encouraged Kenyans to use cashless transactions, credit cards to avoid the unnecessary contracts.
