UoN Students Defend DCI Over “Harassment”

University of Nairobi leadership is planning a demo to protest against the alleged harassment of DCI George Kinoti.

The students, known to hurl stones at the police during riots claim Kinoti is being persecuted by forces opposed to the fight against graft and impunity in Kenya.

Justice Anthony Mrima committed the DCI boss to jail over his refusal to return a stash of lethal weapons belonging to ODM Presidential aspirant Jimmy Wanjigi.

Kinoti, a tough detective has been involved in turf wars with Noordin Hajj, the Office of the Public Prosecutor.

The student leadership, led by Anthony Manyara will hold a press conference tomorrow.
