A vehicle has plunged in to the Indian ocean at the Likoni channel in Mombasa.
The Saloon car whose registration number has not yet been established was on the mainland side of the channel when the driver drove off to the ramps with high speed to the ocean at around 4.20AM.
In a statement Kenya Ferry Services(KFS) said the occupants have not yet been established.
“The occupants in the car have not yet been established. The Kenya Ferry Services rescue boat responded immediately together with Kenya Navy, Kenya police and other multi agencies.” Said KFS
Meanwhile the recovery operation is underway.
This incident comes barely three months after a woman and her daughter died at the channel after their car plunged into the ocean.
