State House Chief of Staff Nzioka Waita has urged Kenyans to massively register as voters in readiness to the August 9 election.

Waita, President Uhuru Kenyatta’s Chief of Staff since 2018 says new voters enhance and entrench democracy hence the need to participate in the exercise.

IEBC has opened a window for fresh and realigned voter registration and transfer starting Monday 17th.

“I appeal to Kenyans to register as voters. More so my home Ukambani. Please don’t wait for the last day”, Waita said.

He thanked elected Lower Eastern leaders for spearheading the exercise in Ukambani.

“I want to urge all Bishops, Imams, Priests and pastors to rally Kenyans to register as voters during Sunday, Saturday Sabath and Friday Islam prayers”, the Chief of Staff said.
