Waita Condemns Attack By Goons In Raila Event

Chama Cha Uzalendo governor-candidate Nzioka Waita has condemned an early morning attack on a key member of his campaign team.

Alexander Kathinzi, the county-speaker designate was roughed up by goons at a prayer meeting organized by Machakos county clergy.

“We condemn in the highest terms possible, the unseemly events earlier today where wiper goons disrupted a prayer meeting organized by Wiper at Machakos Golf Club.”
Nzioka Waita, according to his spokesman Caleb Mwamisi, was almost blocked from accessing the dias.

“Our candidate accompanied Baba from Nairobi to Machakos by Road and to the Golf Course. There was no problem at all attending the prayer event. As he ascended the podium, hired goons attempted to prevent us, but he managed to get there and stay on despite further efforts to remove him.”

Nzioka Waita is locked in a turf war with the Wiper party over the control of Machakos county.

The former Chief of Staff mounted a fiery campaign that has since proven tough for Wiper politicians.

Nzioka Waita is in the race alongside his deputy governor-designate Hon. Florence Mwangangi Suluhu.
