Wajackoyah Arrives For The Presidential Debate

Wajackoyah nearly got physical with a security guard who was attempting to prevent some of his entourage from entering the university.

George Wajackoya, the presidential candidate of the Roots Party, made an unexpected appearance at the Catholic University of Eastern Africa for the Presidential debate, just hours after announcing his intention to skip the event.

Speaking to the press on Tuesday, July 26, the presidential candidate reiterated that he would not take the podium unless all four candidates were seated together.

He blamed the media for attempting to derail his candidacy by separating the candidates and pitting him against the Agano Party’s David Mwaure, who arrived shortly after.

“I am not attending the debate unless we are four,” he maintained.

Wajackoyah nearly got physical with a security guard who was attempting to prevent some of his entourage from entering the university.

He claimed that another vehicle was carrying his wife.

Previously, the presidential candidate stated that he would not participate in the debate unless all presidential candidates, including Raila Odinga of Azimio, William Ruto (Kenya Kwanza), and Mwaure, were placed on the same podium.

“I will not participate unless there is Raila Odinga, William Samoei Ruto, Mwaure, and I on the same platform speaking before Kenyans, for Kenyans to make an informed choice,” he announced on July 21.
