People’s Republic of China’s State Councillor and Minister for Foreign Affairs, Wang Yi has arrived in Kenya for a two-day official visit.
Amb. Raychelle Omamo, Kenya’s Foreign Affairs Cabinet Secretary, recieved him at Mombasa International Airport.
The Foreign Minister is set to pay President Uhuru Kenyatta a courtesy call during his tour.
The two will visit a number of projects in collaboration with the Chinese government, including the Kipevu Oil Terminal.
In addition, he will attend a Ministerial Roundtable Meeting with CS Amb. Raychelle Omamo and other Cabinet Secretaries.
The visit provides a chance for the two countries to strengthen bilateral ties by signing agreements and solidifying the Comprehensive Strategic Cooperation Partnership between Kenya and China.
