West Pokot has passed the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) driven Constitutional Amendment Bill, 2020. – By John Mutiso
The county assembly now becomes the first in the Rift Valley region, to pass the Bill paving way for the BBI referendum.
The West Pokot County Assembly unanimously passed the bill on Tuesday morning.
This now means that the BBI change proponents now need 19 counties for the Bill to make its way to Parliament and then a referendum.
