“We must remain vigilant, increase vaccination coverage, and be prepared to implement more stringent preventive measures if necessary,” said Matshidiso Moeti, WHO Regional Director for Africa.
“In the last three years, investments in the Covid-19 fight have paid off, with the region better able to deal with the virus and its health emergency response systems strengthened.” We must not return to where we were two years ago.”
Early last month, Kenya began to see an increase in the number of Covid-19 cases.
