Woman Among Six Arrested For Vandalizing The Southern Bypass

The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) has recovered several materials vandalized from the state of the art Southern Bypass. – By Gerald Gekara.

Conducted alongside Kenya Police officers attached to the DCC Changamwe, and Nyumba Kumi elders, the raid targetted HODI B informal settlement where the loot was said to have been hidden.

“From raid, the team was able to recover several tonnes of concrete stones, 21 rolls of coper wire and several electrical appliances. A total of six suspects have been arrested and are detained at Chaani police station awaiting arraignment in court.”

Vandalism along major highways in the country have led to millions in repairs and security hazards along Kenya’s highways.

KeNHA urged the public to stay vigilant and report any cases of vandalism.

KeNHA said they would combine forces with police officers to carry out more raids all over the country so as to safeguard expensive government property.
